I Am the Sea

by Jenny Ellison

My world is moving, I try to hold on
The sky is falling, I’m feeling alone

A sea of faces, Just don’t understand
Clicking tongues in sympathy but there’s whispers behind hands

It’s real, I am silently screaming to all
I grip on to life, so scared that I’ll fall.

My existence is ruled by the thing that I love
No longer the peaceful place I dreamt of

I ebb and I flow and navigate my days
And live for a light at the end of this maze

My beautiful sea, has now become me
My beautiful sea, has now become me.
